The Commodore Floppy Disc piece was an object study where I created a single object I was familiar with in a few different styles. The object I focused on was a floppy disk. I combined 2D and 3D motion graphics with elements of hand drawn animation.
For the first version of the floppy disk I created a 3D diagram of the floppy disk. In this section I took the floppy disk aparat and label each of the different parts.
For the second version of the floppy disk I used some 2D motion graphics. I started with a laser writing that creates an outline for the top and bottom of the case. I then move on to a mock adobe menu to fill the outlines with the colors of the floppy disks. We then move on to assembly and finally a hand to drag the floppy disk out of frame.
For the final version of the floppy disk I created a commodore 64 computer and accompanying monitor. I have a fake code booting the computer and downloading a 3D version of the floppy disk.
